Stunning Fairycore Art To Complete Your Magical Bedroom Decor

Two pieces of fairy artwork in cream and blue laying on a table with scissors and spools of thread.

Fairy art and fairycore bedroom decor is a whimsical and dreamy genre of design. Think back to when you were four or seven years old with a passion for flower faeries, water nymphs, sprites and toadstools. You’re never too old to let go of that wonderland aesthetic which can easily be created using fantasy art, ditsy florals, twinkly lighting and pretty bunting. Here are my pieces of fairy art made using a soft, fluffy mohair and delicate prints of fairies.

Piece of hand embroidered fairy art. The fairy has been hand embroidered using the cream yarn that is on a spool in the photograph. There are also scissors and a threaded needle.

Fairy Art

Fairies, I recon are pretty hard workers, tending to their gardens and nature all year long. I imagine them foraging for mushrooms, pressing flowers to make clothes, etching wood carvings into the bark of trees and making birdboxes from empty acorns. I decided to capture my fairies adorned with pressed flower features which I incorporated into their wing designs. Like I mentioned they are tending to their pressed flowers, delphiniums, poppies and cosmos. Like many children’s characters they are themed using colours, creams, purples and pinks.

Each piece of art is an original piece that has been hand embroidered using fine angora mohair threads. The paper I’ve embroidered into are of museum quality and digitally printed. To shop these original pieces of fairy art, visit my Contempfleury shop.
