Our initial wall art features printed, life-like pressed flowers and sumptuous hand embroidered alpaca and silk stitchwork. Each initial is painstakingly embroidered into a museum quality paper, thus elevating the artwork into something magical and precious.
Hand crafted by designer Leah, no two pieces of artwork are ever the same, she tune’s into an inner rhythm as she hand stitches and weaves each piece. The technique she has used here is an organic variation on darning stitch.
Each pressed flower appearing in the artwork has been hand pressed by Leah, as well as many of them having grown in her garden from seed. Selecting only the finest specimens to use in her prints the process is a lot of trial and error. The flowers she chose for this piece are a delicate bluebell, a pressed cornflower and a pretty forget-me-not. Our hope is that you will cherish the results of her crafts.
Should you require personalisation on the artwork, such as a name, and/or date of birth for a birthday/ christening gift, etc, please contact me with the details during checkout. A low resolution proof of your letter will be emailed to you to approve before we embroider it. Then, your choice of text will be hand written beneath the embroidered letter in grey pencil before its carefully parceled. Please allow two weeks for your letter to be made before being posted!
