Description

These christening gifts religious artworks features printed, life-like pressed flowers and sumptuous hand embroidered alpaca and silk stitchwork. Each cross is painstakingly embroidered into a museum quality paper, thus elevating the artwork into something covetable and precious.

Hand crafted by designer Leah, no two pieces of artwork are ever the same, she tune’s into an inner rhythm as she hand stitches and weaves each piece. The technique she has used here is an organic variation on darning stitch.

Slow design accurately describes the process of creating these fine artworks. Each pressed flower appearing in the artwork has been hand pressed by Leah, as well as many of them having grown in her garden from seed.

Selecting only the finest specimens to use in her prints the process is a lot of trial and error. The flowers she chose for this piece are delicate pansies, wildflowers, delphinium faces, and hydrangea petals. Our hope is that you will cherish the results of her crafts.
