Description

Our hand embroidered fairy art features printed, life-like pressed flowers and sumptuous hand embroidered alpaca and silk stitchwork. This fairy was painstakingly embroidered into paper before being digitalised and made into this print.

Originally hand crafted by designer Leah, she tuned into an inner rhythm as she hand stitched and weaved the piece. The technique she used was an organic variation on darning stitch.

Each pressed flower appearing in the artwork was originally hand pressed by Leah, as well as many of them having grown in her garden from seed. Selecting only the finest specimens to use in her prints the process was a lot of trial and error. The flowers she chose for this piece are a curled delphinium, a pressed cornflower and a pretty forget-me-not. The hope is that you will cherish how we have captured her craftsmanship.
