Description

Our hand embroidered vase art features printed, life-like pressed flowers and sumptuous hand embroidered alpaca and silk stitchwork. This vase was painstakingly embroidered into paper before been digitalised and made into this print. It’s printed onto museum quality paper which retains the sharp detailed and vibrant colours of the original artwork.

Originally hand crafted by designer Leah, she tuned into an inner rhythm as she hand stitched and weaved the piece. The technique she has used was an organic variation on darning stitch.

Each pressed flower appearing in the artwork was originally pressed by Leah, as well as many of them having grown in her garden from seed. Selecting only the finest specimens to use in her prints the process was a lot of trial and error. The flowers she chose for this piece are rich lilac bluebells and a soft blue cornflower. Our hope is that you will cherish how we have captured her craftsmanship.
