Description

Our cat art is a unique blend of printed, lifelike pressed flowers and sumptuous hand-embroidered alpaca and silk stitchwork. The cat was meticulously embroidered onto museum-quality paper before being digitalised and made into this print.

Originally hand crafted by designer Leah, she tuned into an inner rhythm to weave and stitch the design. The technique she has used was an organic variation on darning stitch.

Each pressed flower in the artwork was originally hand-pressed by Leah, and many of them had grown in her garden from seed. Selecting only the finest specimens to use in her prints was a process of trial and error. The flowers she chose for this piece are a delicate pink poppy, a pressed cornflower, and a pretty clematis. The hope is that you cherish how we how have preserved her craftsmanship.
